The Peter & Masha Plotkin Memorial Foundation donate $5,000.00 again to the SOCSA Foundation in support of Art Education!

LAKE FOREST, CA (April 19, 2009)
- The South Orange County School of the Arts Foundation was honored to receive a generous donation of $5,000.00 from the The Peter & Masha Plotkin Memorial Foundation in support of the SOCSA Academy at Dana Hills High School.

This was their 2nd donation to the SOCSA Foundation, following their initial $5,000 donation provided in early 2008.

Their April 2009 donation was given to SOCSA Foundation president, Alan Wickstrom, at the conclusion of a performance and visual arts exhibit put on by the students of the SOCSA Academy. The Plotkins also recognized the acheivements of a dozen outstanding seniors at thsi event as well, presenting them with plaques recognizing their efforts.

"The continued support of the SOCSA Foundation by the The Peter & Masha Plotkin Memorial Foundation is simply fantastic!" said SOCSA president Alan Wickstrom. "On behalf of the 400+ students of the SOCSA Academy, our teachers and the SOCSA Foundation board we say THANK YOU for their continued support of arts education in South Orange County."

Visual Art teachers, Chau Tran, Krista Snow and David Luciani worked with dozens of visual arts students to put on a wonderful student art exhibit and SOCSA's artistic director, Ray Woods, directed a 40 minute performance featuring dance, instrumental music and broadway performances at the beautiful Plotkin Family Foundation Gallery in Lake Forest. This event was attend by over 100 SOCSA parents and supporters in their show of gratitude to the Peter & Masha Plotkin Memorial Foundation for their support of art education.
