Theatre Majors To audition for SOCSA as a Theatre major, you will need to prepare two contrasting monologues totaling no more than five minutes in length. Your audition pieces will be rated according to presentation, characterization, and overall ability.

Instrumental and Vocal Music Majors To audition for SOCSA as an Instrumental or Vocal Music major, you will need to prepare an audition piece no more than five minutes in length. Your performance will be rated according to presentation, musicality, and overall ability. Pre-recorded accompaniment is not allowed, and an accompanist will be provided.

Dance Majors To audition for SOCSA as a Dance major, you will need to prepare a two-minute audition piece (any style of dance) and be prepared to learn a combination provided by a member of the SOCSA dance faculty on the spot. Your performance will be rated according to presentation, creativity, learning potential and overall ability.

Visual Arts Majors To apply for the SOCSA Visual Arts department, you will need to be evaluated by the art faculty. You will be placed in the appropriate art classes, based on your presentation of a portfolio in a brief interview.
