NEWS ON PROPOSED NEW THEATER AT DHHS
AND HELP SOCSA SELL-OUT THE WIZ!

APRIL 25, 2008: DANA POINT TIMES: Theater Project for DHHS Moving Forward: THE LATEST: A brand-new performing arts center at Dana Hills High School took a large step to becoming a reality on April 21 when the Capo Unified school board voted to accept $3 million from a state grant to help pay for the proposed $13 million project. MORE...

SOCSA's Spring Musical, The Wiz, has 8 performances as shown on the ad to the right... OUR GOAL IS TO SELL-OUT every performance. Why is this so important to sell-out The Wiz? This will show the district and SOCSA donors the need for a new theater complex at Dana Hills... and we can sell-out, but ONLY with your help.

READ BELOW... to learn how you can help...

HERE IS HOW YOU CAN HELP SELL OUT THE WIZ:

SELLING OUT THE WIZ IS AS EASY AS 1, 2, 3...

(1) BUY TICKETS TO THE WIZ FOR YOUR FAMILY AT SOCSArts.org

Tickets are just $12 for adults and $10 for students and senior citizens. Even if you or your student is not involved with this performance of The Wiz, we need every SOCSA Student, Family and Alumni to buy tickets to attend at least one of the 8 available performances to help us sell-out. BUY YOUR TICKETS TO THE WIZ AT THE SOCSA ONLINE BOX OFFICE TODAY AT SOCSArts.org

(2) INVITE YOUR FRIENDS AND RELATIVES TO BUY TICKETS TO THE WIZ NOW.

Each of us know friends and relatives that have always wanted to see a SOCSA performance and this is the time to invite them. Let them know about the possibility of SOCSA at Dana Hills getting a new theater complex at Dana Hills (more info on that below) and how important it is for us to sell out. Call or eMail your friends and relatives and tell them they may buy tickets online at SOCSArts.org today.

(3) PRINT, DISTRIBUTE AND HANG-UP POSTERS ADVERTISING THE WIZ.

We all have our favorite restaurants and places to shop locally in and around South Orange County... take these posters for The Wiz with you when you go out and ask the manager or owner if they would hang The Wiz poster in a visible place like their front window, telling them they will be supporting SOCSA students at Dana Hills High School. Please download and print out 8 1/2 x 11 poster for The Wiz by clicking on these links to PDF files:
- COLOR POSTER
- BLACK & WHITE POSTER
These are PDF files and you'll be able to print them on standard 8 1/2 x 11 paper. If you have heavy paper, that will work best, but regular paper will wok fine, too. OR you can pick-up FREE 11 x 17 The Wiz color posters at the SOCSA Office in the Choir Room OR at the front office at DHHS.

We encourage you to wear a BLUE SOCSA SHIRT or ANY BLUE DHHS LOGOED SHIRT.... if you don't have a blue SOCSA or DHHS t-shirt, arrive at 6:30pm and SOCSA will be giving out BLUE SOCSA LOGOED T-SHIRT to the first 100 SOCSA supporters that attend that need one, but you must wear this free blue SOCSA t-shirt at this CUSD board meeting. Sizes are limited, so arrive early IF you need one. If you have a BLUE SOCSA or DHHS BLUE shirt (or ANY BLUE shirt for that matter) please wear it. :-)
